Tuition Refund Guarantee 

 

We’re so confident in our program that we promise that if you don’t get a job making at least $45k within two years of completing the Internship phase, you don’t have to pay.

 

Year Up United's Tuition Refund Guarantee:

If you qualify, fulfill the requirements, and still don’t get employment paying $45,000 a year (or $3,750.00 a month) at any time within 2 years after completing the Internship phase, you may be eligible for a full refund or cancellation of your loan. 

Who qualifies? Learners who:

  • Are 18 years or older and legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Pay for the program upfront or with an Zero Percent Loan from Ascent Funding
  • Complete the full program, including Learning & Development and Internship phases, and earned their certificate, on-time
  • Complete all Success After Year Up United requirements established by Year Up United, including:
  •  
    • timely communication (responding to inquiries within 5 business days),
    • Applying for Jobs
    • Meeting with Year Up United placement staff
    • Interview preparation requirements set forth by Year Up United, where “Success After Year Up United” refers to a phase of the program occurring immediately after the last day of the Internship phase
    • While the Success After Year Up United phase requirements may be updated in the future, currently those requirements are: between 10-20 job applications per month and 1 meeting with coach each month 
  • Report participant’s earned income on an annual basis to the Servicer, which may include an offer letter, a pay stub, a W2, or a 1040 


If all of the above are true, and you do not get employment paying $45,000 a year (or $3,750 a month) at any time within 2 years from the last day of your Internship phase, click the hyperlink on the Year Up United Success Sharing Loan page to request a Tuition Refund within 180 days of your 2 year anniversary of the last day of your Internship phase, and you may be eligible for a full refund or cancellation of your loan.
