Through Year Up’s Accelerated Model, Carnel is quickly starting his work-based experience in IT and stepping into his dream of a career in tech.

Clarence Early is a Year Up 2016 graduate who, after 5+ years working in the IT field, founded the online platform Afrikwave, with the goal to empower and uplift those in Africa by creating career opportunities.

"A year ago I was here with some steel-toed boots and a hard hat, and now I’m here with a tie,” the Year Up United alumnus laughed.

Now an Information Security Analyst I, the Year Up United graduate is keeping customers safe and building a career in cyber security.

"...I had set out to become a designer which wasn’t an easy target. But starting as a Quality Assurance intern and becoming a UX Designer has been my biggest accomplishment at Amazon.”
