Jared Goodman

Jared is an Associate Partner for McKinsey & Company in their Washington, D.C. office, focusing on international development, climate, energy, infrastructure, and public/social sector strategy. He has worked across McKinsey’s Africa and North America offices helping emerging economies navigate the climate and energy transitions as well as promote economic and sustainable development.

Previously, Jared worked as an advisor to both the Deputy Secretary and Counselor of the U.S. Department of State during the Obama Administration, focusing on issues of African affairs, economic diplomacy, and development; a Project Finance Specialist at the Black Rhino Group in South Africa; and an Infrastructure Specialist at the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Kenya.

Jared received a MBA from Harvard Business School (with distinction), an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School, and a B.S. in Economics and International Relations from Duke University. Jared serves on the National Board of Directors of Year Up and is a Term Member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
